Big Bug Expo is making its comeback in South Africa! After a successful showcase at the Jan Marais Nature Reserve in Stellenbosch, Cape Town in 2019, this fascinating educational exhibition will be hosted in Port Elizabeth from April 10 to May 4, 2025.

The Big Bug Expo is an exciting educational event that transforms our understanding of the insect world into a vivid experience. This is a rare chance to encounter these fascinating tiny creatures that we often overlook in our daily lives.

The exhibition showcases a diverse array of insects and other creepy crawlies, featuring life-sized replicas that will amaze visitors while highlighting the crucial role these small beings play in our ecosystem.

Picture yourself standing next to a massive 5-meter pollinator bee perched on a vibrant flower, a towering 4-meter scorpion, or a 2-meter dung beetle, among many others.

The Big Bug Expo aims to raise awareness about flora fauna, endangered insect species, particularly pollinators like bees.


The exhibition is divided into four sections, labeled A through D:
